Happy Presidents’ Day to everyone. Did you have a day off today? If so, I hope you’ve enjoyed it! It’s a beautiful day here outside the Confections studio, so we enjoyed having the window shades pushed aside for the day to see how pretty it is outside.
Color Blocking at the Grammys

Did anyone watch the Grammys last night? I did and I enjoyed looking at all of the fashion that was shown off. We recently blogged about color blocking, and it just so happens that Katy Perry sported a pretty pink, blue and black color block dress for the pre-Grammy brunch. We love it! The hot pink and bright aqua colors make me wish it were spring time already! I can’t wait to start using those colors in my everyday life again.

This is something we have never touched on, but we use everyday here in the studio. So, finally, coming at you now is a blog about fonts. At the beginning of each year we treat ourselves to new fonts and it is always an exciting time! We are here now to offer some advice about choosing and using fonts.

The Color Blocking Trend

Something that we have had fun with lately is using color blocking in our designs. This has become a huge trend over the past year or so and still lives on. Whether it is bright colors or classic black and white, you can’t go wrong with color blocking. You can find this trend anywhere. Most people recognize it in fashion, but you can also look for it in pillows, furniture, paintings and anything else design.
