Part of what we love around here is working with clients on invitations that are custom printed and designed specifically for their event. Just recently I had the pleasure of working with a family on their daughter's Bat Mitzvah invitations. They came up with the theme of "Wicked" for the party which was just perfect for their daughter. Green is her favorite color and "Wicked" her favorite musical, and the whole thing just fell into place. Green, black and white were the colors (of course!). The idea was to tie in the theme to the invitation, but not make it look like a playbill. What first popped into my head were the symbols of the two main characters which are the witch hat and the crown. Using those two elements clearly set the tone, add in the wording that we used and the whole thing came together. Now I admit to being a huge fan of "Wicked" which made this job easier because I knew the lyrics of the so well. But as you can see we have a party invitation that sets the tone, states the theme in an understated way and lets the guests know that they are in for a terrific party!
Most of time my involvement ends when the invitations get picked up. This time my family and I were happy to be a part of the event. When we walked into the party we were greeted by this fabulous sign made. What a fabulous way to tie everything in together...we just had to share it!
