Hi everyone! My name is Maddy and I went with my mom (Shara Danziger) this week to the Holiday House marketplace in Little Rock, Arkansas. We drove about 2 ½ hours to get here and had to unload the trailer first thing. I think I had it better than my sister did last week because we had moving carts to unload everything. We did have one small problem because our shelves broke apart and we have to put them back together. Our booth looks great though because we hung Christmas lights on the shelves. There are not many others that are similar to ours, so people have been exciting to come across our booth.
My favorite thing has been walking around to see what else is being sold. I have seen clothes for sale and jewelry, cook books and food also. My FAVORITE thing though is the booth right across from us is selling instant snow powder. So that has been fun to see snow. Last night there was a gala for everyone to preview the different booths. People bought some stuff then, but today is when we first started selling. I would say that our most popular item so far has been the deco boards. People have also been buying stationery with initials on them. Lots of shoppers ask for our card because they want to go to our website to personalize things.
We will be here until Saturday night, so we still have a few days to hang out here. Most of the people shopping here are from Little Rock, but it has been fun to talk to a bunch of different people because the people running the booths have come from all over.
Here is a picture of me and our booth for Confections by Shara’s Paperie. My favorite part is the Christmas lights…what’s yours?!
